Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy (CBH) is an evidence-based approach that combines Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with Clinical Hypnosis to create a powerful, integrated method for addressing psychological issues. It draws on the structured, scientifically validated principles of CBT while adding the focused, experiential depth of hypnosis, enhancing both emotional impact and therapeutic outcomes. This approach works in the present, where meaningful change is possible, focusing on how we perceive and respond to events. By restoring rational, balanced thinking, CBH helps clients achieve faster, more lasting change through a valued understanding that makes sense to them, making it a compelling choice for many.

Hypnosis is a naturally occurring state of awareness, focused attention and heightened suggestibility often accompanied by deep physical relaxation where you are more open to positive suggestions, but you can never be made to do anything against your will. It allows individuals to bypass their usual critical thinking processes, making it easier to access and influence subconscious patterns of thought, emotion, and behaviour. It is not mind control, sleep nor magic. You are fully aware & in control throughout.
-
If you're ready to make real, lasting changes and want a structured, practical approach with an evidence-based track record, CBH is often an excellent fit. My goal is to support you in becoming your own therapist, empowering you with the tools to create lasting change.

CBH can be effective for a wide range of issues, including anxiety, stress, sleep problems, phobias, confidence, public speaking, and unhelpful thinking patterns. If you’re not sure, feel free to reach out to discuss your specific situation.

Yes, hypnosis is simply a natural state of focused attention, and people with strong, analytical minds often benefit greatly once they understand the process. Intelligence, a sense of curiosity and a vivid imagination are a plus.ion

Sessions typically include talking through your goals, identifying unhelpful patterns, and using hypnosis to reinforce positive, balanced thinking. You’ll also receive practical exercises to use between sessions.
-
The number of sessions varies depending on the issue and your personal goals, but CBH is designed to be efficient, often achieving results more quickly than many traditional therapies. It is typically short-term, usually 4-10 sessions, which we review together as needed to decide if any further support is required.
-
No prior therapy experience is necessary. CBH is designed to meet you where you are, providing a clear, structured approach to meaningful change.

CBH is highly effective for most people, but it may not be suitable for those with certain psychiatric conditions. I can discuss this with you during an initial consultation.

My fee is £150 per one-hour session, payable in advance via secure online payment. The first appointment is 1.5 hours to allow extra time for initial exploration—this additional 30 minutes is included at no extra cost.
I also offer a 4-session package for £540, valid for use within 6 months—ideal for those committed to regular, structured progress. Although you have up to 6 months to use all 4 sessions, most clients find that attending weekly or fortnightly helps maintain momentum and supports steady progress.

When you book your first one-hour session, that begins your 4-session package. We’ll arrange the remaining three sessions together—usually at the end of each appointment. While you have up to 6 months to use all four sessions, most clients find that attending weekly or fortnightly helps maintain momentum and supports steady progress.

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed appointments — will be charged at the full session fee.
This policy is in place to protect the time and structure of the work, ensure fairness, and allows the appointment to be offered to someone else in need when possible.
Please note: To help things run smoothly, sessions need to be booked at least 24 hours in advance and no more than 1 month ahead.
