Client Agreement and Practice Policies

Welcome. The following outlines how I work and the terms under which therapy is offered. These policies help protect the time, structure, and integrity of the therapeutic process for both of us.

1. Booking and Cancellation Policy

Your appointment time is reserved exclusively for you.
Cancellations or reschedules with less than 24 hours’ notice — or missed appointments — will be charged at the full session fee. This policy ensures fairness and allows the appointment to be offered to someone else in need when possible.

Please note, sessions are available to book from 24 hours up to 1 month in advance.

2. Fees and Payment

My fee is £150 per one-hour session. Payment is required in advance for all booked sessions by secure online payment. Sessions will commence upon receipt of payment. Payment details will be provided at the time of booking.

4-Session Package is offered at £540 valid for use within 6 months. Ideal for clients committed to structured progress.

3. Session Planning

Discovery Call (Free 15-minute Intro)
This brief call is offered free of charge to discuss your questions and see if we’re a good fit before beginning therapy. It is not a therapy session.

Initial Consultation (First Therapy Session)

The initial consultation session, which is the first official therapy session, includes an additional 30 minutes at no extra charge. This extended time allows us to fully explore your needs, answer any questions, and collaboratively set goals before regular therapy sessions begin.

Therapy Duration

Therapy usually involves 4 to 10 sessions, though this can vary based on individual needs and goals.

Before the final scheduled session, we will review your progress together to determine whether therapy will conclude at that point or whether additional sessions may be helpful. This review is part of our shared responsibility to make therapy useful and well-timed.

4. Confidentiality

What you share in sessions is confidential. I will not disclose any information without your written consent, unless required by law or if there is a risk of serious harm to you or others.

5. Emergencies

I do not provide crisis or emergency support. If you are in crisis or feel unable to keep yourself safe, please contact emergency services or attend your local A&E department.

6. Communication Between Sessions

Email or phone communication is limited to practical matters such as rescheduling or cancellations. Therapeutic content should be brought to sessions.

I do not use messaging apps such as WhatsApp for client communication, in order to protect confidentiality and maintain clear professional boundaries. Please also note that email is not a fully secure method of communication, so sensitive information should not be shared via email.

Agreement

By attending your first session, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms.
